Charlie

I am a recent graduate of History from Aberystwyth University, where I obtained a 2.1 grade. Throughout my course, I have gained an in depth knowledge about multiple historical periods and events, but have also developed an excellent eye for detail due to the heavy demands of assignments and research. My employment experience in hospitality, recruitment and fundraising has also given me the tools to remain focused, organised and determined, thus better preparing me for tutoring and other roles in the education sector. For many years, I have provided tutoring in History primarily, but also in English Literature and RE for students of multiple age groups and I am hoping to continue tutoring far more often. I am also seeking a career as a History teacher and have recently been fully DBS checked and therefore ready for work. My time as a Police Cadet and as an assistant coach/supervisor for Rugby and Cross Country has given me more experience when working with young people, which further demonstrates my suitability for tutoring. Education is something that I am truly passionate about and what with the pandemic, circumstances have become far more difficult for students, especially for those that have exams coming up. Therefore, on account of COVID 19, my passion for education and making a difference, I am very excited to start tutoring again, this time on a full-time basis.

3 years of experience in private tutoring whilst I was studying my A-levels and Degree.
5 years of experience in the Hospitality sector.
2 months in Recruitment and 6 in Fundraising.
1 year as a Police Cadet for the West Mercia Police Service.
Volunteered as an assistant coach/supervisor for both Rugby and Cross Country training and events.
Volunteered as a Steward for Glastonbury Festival on two separate occasions.
