Hi all, I’m Axel and I’m a 2019 University of Bath Mechanical Engineering Graduate, having also tutored Maths and Physics here for almost 3 years now, aiding in raising the grades of all my tutees, some by up to 5 grades! I consistently achieved top grades on my course and also spent 15 months in industry as an Engineering Intern. The majority of modules throughout my education revolved around Maths and Physics.

I am a very sociable and communicative person, being an active member within multiple sports and societies, and I think my personality suits tutoring very well, as I find I am able to connect with my students being a similar age, which in my experience had increased student engagement within lessons!

I previously attended Lancaster Royal Grammar School, having studied Mathematics, Further Maths and Physics for A-Level achieving an A* in all 3. My maths A-Level modules revolved around core and mechanics, so I therefore tutor:

The key to my own exams and previous tutoring has always revolved around interaction and extensive practise. If all aspects of a topic are covered in detail, the theory is understood and a whole range of questions are practised, there is nothing within exams that can surprise you!

Within my tutorials I aim to establish the area of help required, guiding through and teaching fundamentals, before applying this to relevant practise questions.

Availability: As I work from home, I am available 7 days a week as required!

Experience: Prior to university, whilst still studying for my own A-Levels, I tutored Maths to GCSE students at my school who needed some help raising their grades.

Since then, I have been an active tutor with MyTutor as an online tutor, and have completed over 500 hours of online teaching. My tutoring has raised some of my students grades by 4 or 5, something I`m immensely proud of, and motivates me to further help all students achieve their full potential.
I have also recently completed a teaching assistants course, which has further helped my tutoring style, and has provided me with training to tutor students with learning disabilities, to help maximise everyone`s grades and potential.
