Information about Jade

Hi, I‘m Jade.

Teaching is something I am incredibly passionate about. To engage my students, I ensure that learning is fun, yet challenging.

I currently offer tutoring (1:1 or online) focussing on primary subjects, homework, life skills and/or functional skills. Zoom is my preferred platform, but I am flexible if parents/carers use a different platform.

Over the past 10 years, I have taught within the Early Years setting, and am familiar with the EYFS goals. Y1 has been my favourite year group to teach, and I have a five year son myself, so we go through homework, spellings and reading together on a weekly basis. In addition to this, I have taught Y2 for two years, which has been a great way for me to learn about where pupils will go next on their learning journey. I have also covered Y3 and Y4 classes as well.

More recently, I spent 2-3 years teaching in an SEN school. This has been by far the most rewarding role I have experienced. Learners with a variety of needs and daily challenges. This has helped me to learn how to really engage and connect with learners. I covered a variety of lessons, as the `Nurture` teacher, and enjoyed being a part of creating a curriculum, that was exciting, innovating and enjoyable. I covered life skills, PSHE and social skills. Maths was an enjoyable subject to teach these teenagers, as I could explain and show them how many maths skills are relevant in our everyday lives, making maths activities practical and learning purposeful.

When people learn, grow and develop in confidence, it is incredible to see and be a part of. Teaching is an incredibly rewarding job and I wouldn`t change it for anything.

As I continue my work in schools as a supply teacher, I would like to dedicate some of my time reaching out to students and families that require extra support, to help boost confidence, raise attainment and enhance learning.

Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I hope to hear from you soon!

Experience: Hi, I`m Jade and I love teaching!

I have worked in a special needs school for the past two years and prior to this I worked in mainstream schools for a total of ten years. I have worked with reception aged children, right up to key stage two, and it is this variety that has helped me to develop and enhance my teaching skills. I have never done tutoring and want to try something new!

Having studied at University, I developed a love for learning and became passionate about teaching as a career. I loved my own primary school experience and can recall so many fun and engaging lessons. This is where my love for teaching really stems from. My mission is to make learning fun, accessible and valuable. My cheerful and positive approach has helped me to engage the most reluctant of learners, and I take pride in what I do.

Teaching is something I am passionate about. When people learn, grow and develop in confidence, it is incredible to see and be a part of. Teaching is an incredibly rewarding job and I wouldn`t change it for anything.
