I am an experienced educator, having taught university undergraduates, teens and adults for over 4 years. I have a strong background in film production and academia. Additionally, I am currently working on several projects ranging from media production to journal articles.

Experience: Seminar Cover
Covered a number of ‘lesson based seminars’ focused around the fertility between film practice and fine arts. Students were to produce a creative portfolio containing ideas they had developed during the course, I was to teach them on any topic from environmental filmic works to ideas developed through art movements.

Seminar Tutor - BA Media Film and Digital Production
Taught a total of 12 seminars for one terms teaching a module entitled Critical Theory and Textual Analysis. Involved teaching a group of undergraduates several key theories in the advance study of media analysis. Took and responded to questions from students, engaging their interest, solidifying their understanding, and expanding their knowledge. Structured the seminars myself around teachings from the lecture and recent analysis. Guided expectations for essays whilst assisting with issues such as how to conduct citations.

Essay Marking
Marked a total of 75 essays on film, these ranged from a close analysis of The Searchers to BBC3. Left detailed comments for students, helping their understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and leading to noticeable improvements in future grades.

Video Editor
Edited various short videos, films and advertisements. The educational content was distributed throughout higher education for students thinking of university to both encourage them and enhance their thinking.

Editing Tutoring
Taught mostly Adobe Premiere Pro to many individuals aged between 15 - 35 who aspire to learn video editing, both in regards of professional development but also school work.

The Space of Aura: Perspective, Play and Democracy in Post-Structuralist Film and Video Installation
45,000 word thesis focusing on the connotations of aura within the works of experimental filmmakers. This thesis observed the medium of film and its intersection with fine art.
