Information about Ibrahim
I have over 16 years experience of teaching science in secondary schools. I have an outstanding record of helping my students to achieve excellent results in their GCSE and all my Year 11 and 10 students have been achieving great results. I completed my Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) science course at London Metropolitan University. I have BSc (Honours) degree in Biochemistry from thesame university. My teaching experience has covered both Key Stages 3 and 4 in Chemistry, Biology and Physics and in addition to teaching up to Key stage 5 in Chemistry and Biology. I have used and continue to use the National curriculum and various specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) to prepare effective lessons plans which make my lessons interesting, informative, concentrating first and foremost on effective teaching and learning.
Progression needs to be planned for; children in all my classes make excellent progress because I always share learning objectives and success criteria with them. Knowing exactly what is expected and how they can achieve allows children to focus more clearly on tasks. This also facilitates effective self and peer assessments, as thereare clear criteria and objectives to assess against, encouraging children to take more responsibility for their own learning. To be a good science teacher of course, one needs to be able to cut the mustard as an individual classroom practitioner.
I have a track record of helping my pupils to achieve excellent results in their GCSE and all my Years 11 and 10 have been achieving outstanding grades with their GCSE.
