Hola/Bonjour/Hello!

I am a native French Speaker and a qualified and experienced Spanish and French teacher. As a non Native- English speaker, my language learning journey began at the very young age of 9 years old, and have since been fascinated in wanting to share my knowledge and skills to support pupils.

At present, it is challenging for schools to cover all necessary key content in class and thoroughly prepare pupils for external examinations. With large class sizes and the lack of proper individual speaking practice, pupils may develop a lack in ability and confidence, and not achieve their full potential when in class or when undergoing exams.
I approach language learning with a nuanced perspective which allows pupils to adopt the necessary skills to support their academic journey and succeed in their exams, as well as the ability to engage with language in a natural and relevant context. I aim to create and tailor lessons for each individual pupil by identifying areas of focus/goal to help my pupils, by using a wide range of resources depending on age and level.

Availability: I am available Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings.

Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE in Secondary Modern Foreign Languages ( Spanish and French) with QTS. I am also a qualified TEFL teacher with experience teaching English as a Second Language in Language Summer camps.

I have experience teaching French and Spanish at KS3,4 and 5, and can adapt teaching approaches according to pupils’ needs. Additionally, I have experience working with pupils in Primary school age.

I also have experience as a language mentor which gave me the opportunity to gain insights on the barriers of language learning and how to overcome this with young learners.
