Information about Dan
Hi,
It`s great to meet you. Although I am a full-time consultant and editor specialising in the African power sector, I have a passion for teaching which means that I take a few students in the evenings and at the weekend.
I am flexible in my approach but I do ask that students travel to where I live. I believe that to be successful a student must be willing to travel to a teacher and that this makes lessons more effective.
Availability: Evenings and weekends
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have two Masters degrees, one in economics from the Pantheon-Sorbonne in Paris and one in International Relations from the University of Durham. With an undergraduate in physics and economics, also from Durham, I have a long history in academia and an ongoing enthusiasm for learning which I enjoy sharing.
As well as academic spheres, I have played the cello for many years. I started to teach the instrument when I was a teenager and have enjoyed doing so ever since. Growing up in a household of professional musicians, teaching and learning instruments has always been an important part of my life.
