I`m an experienced English and Science tutor, who mixes his tuition alongside a career as a freelance writer and performer. I`ve written work across all dramatic and literary platforms (including both stage and television). Hiring me as a tutor, you’re not only hiring someone who understands the education sector, but someone who is actively involved in the creative and literary industry. As a tutor, I draw on these experiences to bring a fresh, enthusiastic, bespoke approach. I offer a different method to a traditional `school` experience and one that has garnered excellent results with students of all different abilities. On average, students have experienced a `jump` of two grades within a year.

Availability: I try to be as flexible as possible to meet the needs of my students. However, I currently have more space to take on students during the weekdays (mornings/afternoons/evenings).

I offer:

English Lit/Lang: (Year 7 – GCSE) (AQA/Edexcel)
Fully versed and with detailed knowledge of the examination board syllabus, I’ve had significant success preparing students for KS3 and especially GCSEs. I`m able to give the student the confidence to be creative and the tips & direction to be able to analyse and critique with precision and clarity. GCSE Literature Texts covered are:

- Macbeth/Romeo & Juliet
- Christmas Carol/Frankenstein/Sign of Four/Jekyll & Hyde
- An Inspector Calls/Of Mice and Men
- Power and Conflict Poetry

The Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) (Year 7 - GCSE) (Edexcel/AQA)
With a deep knowledge of the all three sciences, I teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics. I`m able to simplify the curriculum and transfer key concepts to students quickly and effectively. Providing the tips and exam technique so the students can apply the knowledge is also critical to the students success and often overlooked.
