Italy and Italian culture have played an important role in my life so far. Born in Sardinia, languages have always been an integral part of my life. From a young age my mother encouraged me to learn French and English and I spent many summer holidays working in resorts engaging with tourists. At the age of 19, I spent two years living in Germany which provided me with invaluable experience, I was able to appreciate a completely different culture to my own. Here in England I`m providing private lessons to adults and children and I`m teaching Italian language in courses for children and adults. The starting point of my lessons are my students: their motivations and needs. I adopt a communicative approach, which involves speaking and listening since the very first lessons. I give space to the four abilities of the language (Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading). I carefully select the material I use: the Italian should be authentic and suitable to the level of my students. Languages are my passion and have always been. What would be really nice for me to do is to carry on trying and succeeding in passing this passion through to those students who really have my same inclination or those who would eagerly like to give it a try! Either way I will be available to share my time with you on this adventure. Every student is different, which means every lesson can`t be identical to another. We will work together on Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening, because they are all fundamental skills that you need to learn a language, and we surely will not neglect to focus on the culture that the language brings with it.

Experience: • Prepare and teach adults at all levels from beginner to advanced in both one-to-one and group sessions.
• Design lesson plans to follow the Italian national curriculum for those that want to be ready to go to school in Italy.
• Create teaching materials from scratch.
• Develop and implemented comprehensive lesson plans that accommodated specific level of learners while offering support to make certain each student was able to grasp materials.
• Constantly seek extensive knowledge on a variety of topics in order to deliver stimulating classes and maintain students interest and focus.
• Solid understand of Italian grammar, pronounce alphabets, vocabulary, spelling and punctuation rules.
• Teaching language through history, geography, culture, food and current issues.
