Information about Mike
I enjoy teaching at all levels from Yr7 up to A Level. I have an informal manner as a teacher and am able to relate the Maths subject to a range of young people, especially those whose real flair is perhaps in other subject areas!
I am fully CRB checked, have 25 years` experience in Secondary Schools and know the Maths syllabus extremely well, including the new 9-1 version. My teaching style is flexible, ensuring students learn essential techniques and are able to apply them in a range of contexts. Students enjoy my teaching and are able to relax and learn.

We found Mike quite quickly on the site, and after several sessions we are happy that he is teaching our daughter well to consolidate her existing knowledge in Maths and to increase her confidence in the subject.
He is positive, has a sense of humour and recognises the crucial areas in which our daughter needs support in order to move forwards. Mike has also been very flexible, understanding when a lesson time has to be changed because of Parents’ Evening, etc.

Mike has been working with my daughter to catch up a lost term. He hastaken time to listen to what is required and works through the problems in a calm and patient manner, working at a pace the child is comfortable to work at. Given the seal of approval by my 12 year old daughter ,
