Information about Bridget
I have a doctorate in Classics from UCL, with a term spent a Yale University as a Visiting Assistant in Research. I am an experienced Latin and Classical Civilisation teacher who makes lessons engaging and accessible. I am also an Honorary Research Fellow at UCL, a secondary school teacher and a private tutor.
Availability: I am available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have taught Latin to absolute beginners (getting students to GCSE standard in just one academic year), right through to University level. I also teach Classical Civilisation GCSE and A Level. I have over ten years’ teaching experience.

Bridget was extremely friendly and helpful when teaching me Latin as well as building up my confidence in the subject. Sessions were well structured and also fun with useful tips. I would highly recommended Bridget as a tutor.

I’ve struggled for years with languages, but Bridget has been fantastic at helping me improve at Latin for my undergraduate course. She was able to adapt to my unusual curriculum and has taught in styles to suit me, giving revision tips and sending over documents that have assisted in my learning. She is patient and very friendly, so I’ve felt very comfortable in each lesson. I’m finally beginning to succeed and I cannot thank her enough for everything that she is doing to help me improve. Thank you!
