My name is Samantha. I am currently head of a psychology department in secondary and sixth form, examiner, and also a curriculum director for all social sciences in 12 schools. I am very passionate about my subject with knowledge in a range of different exam boards (AQA, OCR, Edexcel, BTEC). I have a first class degree in psychology, have worked in prisons, and have a masters in education.

While psychology is my main subject, I also teach GCSE maths with particular skills in SEND and chunking tasks in a way that will aid mathematics understanding. The exam board I am able to support with maths is AQA, both foundation and higher tier.

I have provided online tutoring alongside teaching in order to support the needs and confidence of students to achieve above their potential. I am also able to offer face-to-face tuition.

I have a strong understanding of exam skills, and school curriculum. This will help us to focus on your current and future education, and ensures that tuition complements your studies. I also have experience of reference writing, essay skills, dissertation writing, and UCAS assistance. I believe in directing learning to best suit learner needs, so my tuition will be focused around your strengths and weaknesses, and how continued progress can be made. Very inclusive teacher.
