Information about Idara
Hello, I`m Idara, a highly dedicated and accomplished tutor with a passion for empowering students to achieve their full potential. As a full-time data/technology apprentice in the lively financial sector, I bring a wealth of practical knowledge and real-world experience to my tutoring sessions. While my weekdays are dedicated to my professional endeavours, I devote my weekends to helping students excel academically.
My teaching style is characterized by a unique blend of enthusiasm, patience, and a deep understanding of how students learn. During my A-level studies in Mathematics, English Literature, and Psychology, I discovered the transformative power of fostering a genuine love for learning. I firmly believe that education should be a source of excitement, energy, and fulfilment, rather than a mere chore.
Recognizing the limitations of conventional teaching methods, I actively seek alternative approaches that engage and inspire my students. I strive to create an environment where students can explore topics in their own way, encouraging their independent thinking and problem-solving skills. By promoting a deeper understanding of concepts, beyond mechanical step-by-step processes, I ensure that my students experience long-lasting benefits in their learning journey.
To help students excel in their exams, I emphasize the importance of dedicated practice and extensive reading. I provide my students with the tools and guidance they need to tackle exam questions with confidence, enabling them to perform at top levels. By encouraging broader reading, I cultivate a sense of intellectual curiosity and equip students with a competitive edge that extends beyond the classroom.
With my impressive academic achievements, including achieving grade 9s at GCSE and As at A-level (Predicted due to Lockdowns in 2020), I possess a strong command of Mathematics and English Literature. Being deeply immersed in a mathematics-based career, I harbour a genuine love for the subject and find great joy in sharing my knowledge with others.
When it comes to tutoring, I am happy to travel up to an hour via public transport. Alternatively, students can be tutored at my flat in Sidcup. Whether it`s the mornings or evenings, I will do my best to accommodate your schedule to ensure optimal convenience for both parents and students. My commitment to fostering a positive and nurturing educational experience, combined with my expertise in my chosen subjects, makes me the ideal tutor for students seeking A* GCSE guidance.
Contact me today to arrange our first lesson! I will be taking on new students from end of July.
Availability: I am available some evenings during the week and all of Sunday.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I began tutoring in the late months of 2018 and since have taught students ranging from primary school to adult learners. I have tutored a total of around 200 hours between 11 students.
My maths skills have been exceptional since a young age so I understand concepts rather then memorise how to solve specific problems. I aim to transfer this sense of understanding and confidence.

Its been rather worst experience dealing with her. Shes extremely rude and abruptly discontinued after first meeting and in spite agreeing on all terms and conditions. If she has any issues she shouldve told us upfront and not message next morning being unable to continue and asking her fees for first appearance. We wasted time and money pursuing her to be a tutor but eventually avoided making a mistake, which seems apparent.
Tutors Response :
I was likewise disappointed with Indranil`s approach to tuition for this son- after an evening of tutoring and speaking with him and his wife, I felt misaligned and decided to discontinue. Them bargaining my wage and simply cutting me off in the middle of my sentences, as well as requiring a 1 year+ commitment across 3 days a week were the reasons for my termination. I wish Indranil and his son the best of luck in finding a suitable tutor.
