Baris

Baris is a graduate of The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London. She has been teaching Drama and Theatre Studies for fifteen years in colleges as well as teaching English as a foreign language. As she has a lot of experience in the performing arts industry she achieves very good results with her students. As an actor, she has performed in venues such as The Gate Theatre, Arcola Theatre, The Young Vic in London and in Edinburgh Fringe Festival as well as directing in London fringe theatres since 1998. She has recently directed “The Parade” by Loula Anagnostaki, “Two Lost in a Filthy Night” by Plinio Marcos and “Death and the Maiden” by Ariel Dorfman which were staged at Camden People’s Theatre, Millfield and Arcola Theatres in London as well as touring to Istanbul, Athens and Thessaloniki from 2018 to 2020 successfully. She is a great tutor of drama and English as a foreign language and she loves to teach English conversation lessons to foreigners for whom English is their second language. She also teaches Turkish to foreign business people who need to use this language in their workplace.

Experience: She taught Drama at White Hart Lane School from 2004 to 2005 and then went on to teach Drama at Lea Valley High School from 2005 to 2008. Then she became the head of performing arts at Sir George Monoux Sixth Form College teaching A level Drama and English as a foreign language there until 2021. She is an experienced tutor.
