Information about Diana
I am a fourth-year Ph.D. at the University of Warwick studying Mathematics, more specifically Algebraic Number Theory. Previously, I finished a Master in Mathematics at the University of Oxford and I was previously taught in Bucharest, Romania at a Mathematics and Computer Science high school, where I participated in several Mathematics competitions and Olympiads across the country.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I did teaching both in Romania, my home country, and the UK. I have participated in volunteering programmes in my high school years, where I taught mathematics to secondary school children at Principesa Margareta, an organization aimed at improving the education and welfare of disadvantaged Romanian children. I have also designed Mathematics and English study curricula for the Politeia foundation, trying to make lessons more accessible and attractive for pupils. In the summer after my second year of university, I took part in the "Mathematics and Physics Internship Programme" at Salesian School for one month. Here, I had to give mini-lessons to years 7-12, GSCE, A levels Maths and Further Maths, helped students with their science projects, and helped in organizing their annual Sports Day.
During my Ph.D., I taught undergraduates of first-year Mathematical Analysis and Linear Algebra, a third-year course in Representation Theory, and a master course in Reflection Groups.
