Present tense

The regular conjugation for the present tense is as follows:

spielen (to play)

Ich spiel-e

Du spiel-st

Er/sie/es spiel-t

Wir spiel-en

Ihr spiel-t

Sie spiel-en

There are some irregularities to this conjugation, the two most important being the verbs sein (to be) and haben (to have)

For sein:

Ich bin

Du bist

Er/sie/es ist

Wir sind

Ihr seid

Sie sind

For haben:

Ich habe

Du hast

Er/sie/es hat

Wir haben

Ihr habt

Sie haben

(as you can see, for the du and er/sie/es forms of haben, there is an irregularity and there is no b in the `stem`)
