When revising, it can seem like there is a lot to have to learn. As you practise some exam questions and lose some marks, it can make you feel more and more disheartened. By following the below tips you can reduce the stress this can bring and be more on top of your work!

Firstly, I alwasy advise my students to base their learning around the specifications. Heavily relying on just your school curriculum or textbooks can be risky at times. Looking at the specification of your exam board will allow you to know exactly what will be coming up in your exams as anything outside the topics and information given can not be tested in the exam! So it`s like an early cheat sheet and as you work through the specification, you can even colour-grade the different points based on how confident you may be in answering the topic.

Secondly, doing exam questions alongside your revision will always be of benefit to you. It allows you to practically answer the information you have learnt and know how they may ask certain topics. Whether it may be more long-answered questions that you have to memorise or if it would be more application questions. Whatever it may be, exam questions are alwasy your best friend! The more you do, the more you see a pattern and are able to memorise the answers to questionst that come up often. As this is active revision, you are able to remember this information more than just passive revision where you may be highlighting notes or just writing things from the textbook.

Finally, don`t stress too much. Do a certain amount of work each day and make sure to stick to this routine. Try to use the tips above and you will definitely see a change in your grade. Just make sure to keep putting in that effort !
