It`s interesting to see that in the world we live in today, business is no longer viewed as boardrooms and pinstriped suits. The rise of entrepreneurs who have created games, social media and apps have changed the way we view business. Mark Zuckerberg has to be one of the more famous business leaders, his success came from Facebook which started in 2004 with the help of his university room mates. Other recent success stories include Evan Spiegel, who co founded and is now CEO of Snapchat, this is the photo sharing app which he created whilst finishing his degree at Stanford. A new edition to the startup success world is William Shu, a man who is changing the way food is delivered with the app based ordering service Deliveroo.

You could easily say that Zuckerberg’s success alongside the rise of tech giants including Google defined the startup scene that we know and love today. These organisation`s have now helped to redefine business by kicking out the images of mahogany board room tables, pointless and rather dull meetings and hierarchy based culture to something more fresh, vibrant and contemporary.

Why has the rise of the more casual approach to being a director and running an organisation become such a huge success? I could easily pass judgement that the business world was ready for a change and so was the world. We live in a society where people adore the underdog and someone who is different which is demonstrated in the new age of the director. These people founded the business and tend to be more people focused, hands on and transparent.

Superstar Directors have developed their business from the start and they show passion and enthusiasm, this is now reflected in other areas of life which have seen people do what they love to do and have instantly turned into famous entrepeneurs. Examples of this can be seen in the superstar vloggers of YouTube or the startups who are changing life across the world.

The rise of the hoodie director and the passion they have brought into their companies has certainly changed the culture of business and has inspired more people to develop their passion into a company, one thing is for sure… it`s not going away!
