The age-old question of Quality vs Quantity.

This could be applied to the chemistry topics of high atom economy, where the majority of what you make is the product you want, or a high percentage yield where you make a lot of product (but not necessarily the one which you desire)

This leads itself nicely onto another question - why not have both Quality and Quantity simultaneously?

Often having a high quantity leads to an inevitable decrease in quality. A good example of this is having a double-lesson at school, where the first hour is often very productive with a high level of engagement and learning, but the second hour begins to drag and students rapidly lose interest in the subject and disown their learning in that particular topic.

However this is not always the case, for instance, good tutors are able to split a two hour session into two productive one hour sessions, with a short, encouraging and positive break sandwiched in the middle. This keeps students engaged and promotes a positive learning ethos.

I understand the importance of getting the students not involved as students, but as learners. It is important for them to enjoy the lesson in order to learn. If your son or daughter`s learning is an absolute top priority, I would be grateful if you could please drop me a message and we can go from there.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to hearing from you soon! :)
