I am a qualified science and maths teacher with a Physics and Music degree from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Music. As a full-time professional tutor, I have experience teaching ages 7-18 across a wide range of subjects and exam boards including 11+/13+ entrance exam preparation for prestigious schools such as St Paul’s; home schooling for GCSE and A-Level maths and science; and interview preparation for Oxbridge and top Russell Group Universities.

As a joint Physics and Music scholarship graduate from Imperial College London and the Royal College of Music, creativity and a thirst for a deeper understanding of the world are attributes I would like to inspire through my teaching. In order to achieve this, I strive as a tutor to create an environment which is both fun and productive by connecting subject matter with my students’ interests and setting challenges.

Availability: I am currently only teaching in person close to my home or online via Skype/zoom.

I am available 10am-9pm every day however I have a lot of students so certain slots may be taken. Please let me know your availability and I will try my best to accommodate your request.

Experience: I am passionate about teaching and this manifests itself in the desire to engage in scientific discussions and impart my knowledge and curiosity. Specialising in Science, Maths and Music, my aptitude for teaching lies in the ability to help students break down complex problems and create suitable analogies in order to make concepts more intuitive. I believe the key to long-term memory retention and understanding lies in encouraging the learner to work out a problem for themselves from fundamental principles and engaging them through targeted questions in order to discover the solution rather than using a spoon-feeding approach. This creates a strong foundation from which one might tackle more complicated or previously unseen problems.

My aspiration to challenge the brightest minds and at the other end of the spectrum, turn traditionally low achievers into successful students, highlights my ambitious nature. Building a close relationship with my pupils is very important, as learning is not just about performing well in exams, but rather, it is about having fun and becoming inspired. I would like to be seen as a mentor. From my perspective, the best measure of success is when my students are genuinely excited about the subject matter and eager to bring their own ideas to the table; at the end of the day only then will I know my work is done.
