I am Mathematician and Maths & Physics trained teacher. After graduation (B.Sc) in Maths, Physics and English. I was looking forward to become Maths teacher. For this I got two years teaching training & took B.Ed degree in teaching mathematics & Physics in Secondary school. But ,before B.Ed degree, I took M.Sc degree in mathematics for my own interest in mathematics. I believe in mathematics for its own sake, not just as utilitarian set of skills Teaching the philosophy of mathematics is exciting.

During my teaching course (B.Ed) I got a good grounding in all background knowledge: Classroom management, lesson planning, and learning theories of teaching. .This period was very challenging and exciting for me. By the end of training I had just what I needed: A realistic understanding of all demands of teaching mathematics and belief that I could do it and would really enjoy it.

After my appointment as teacher in Secondary school, I find the process of teaching and learning about mathematics absolutely fascinating and worked continually with teachers, parents and pupils to find strategies for success. I used my mathematics skills and knowledge constantly in my lessons.
