Information about Sophie
I`m Sophie, I am 29 and would love to help you with your maths/science problems! :)
I studied a maths degree and masters at the University of East Anglia, where I achieved a First Class Honours. I really enjoyed studying the subject as I feel such a sense of achievement when you find it clicks! And I honestly do believe that with enough practice and hard work, maths is something that everyone can feel the same sense of achievement.
I`m currently studying a PhD in mathematical modelling of diseases (I do love maths!) so work with maths and biology on a daily basis.
I`ve worked as a teacher before in both secondary and primary levels, so I am very used to communicating ideas and am familiar with the current curriculum and teaching practices.
When I tutor I am always very open and patient as I know learning something new can be quite difficult. I am also a very friendly person who doesn`t judge and will always try and think of new ways to explain things so we can both be happy with your progression.
I look forward to hearing from you!
