I graduated with honours in Mathematics from Cambridge University in 2008. Following a spell teaching English in Spain, I joined the UK Civil Service, where I have spent most of my career so far. I am currently the head of the energy team in HM Treasury, where I am responsible for leading a small team whose job is to advise the Chancellor of the Exchequer on UK energy policy and strategy, in particular focusing on economic and fiscal impacts.
Outside of work I enjoy a number of social and cultural activities. In particular I have a passion for music and am a keen guitar player. I also enjoy sports and exercise and have recently started Capoeira classes - Capoeira is a Brazilian cultural art that combines music dance and philosophy.
