Information about Russell
Personal Descri ption: I am a mature teacher with a wide work/life experience. I have travelled within many countries throughout the world and enjoy meeting people of all ages from different cultures and ethnicities.
I became interested in teaching english as a second language after visiting schools and monestries in Asia and observing the students` enthusiasm in the classrooms as they learnt english. As a result I undertook and qualified as a TEFL/TESOL tutor.
I will be spending several weeks in Sep/Oct 2012 teaching English in a school in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Tutoring Approach: I teach in a relaxed manner taking into account the individual needs of each student, whether it be learning colloquial and social conversation or a more formal approach involving a deeper understanding of grammar, punctuation and sentence construction.
I believe it is important to teach with relevance to each person`s circumstances and to bring in humour and lightheartedness to enhance the learning experience.
As well as teaching adults I am able to provide additional tuition for children at beginner and intermediate levels.
