Information about Richard
My strongest skill in teaching is being able to deliver simple and clear explanations which cut straight to the chase, so I shall try to do the same here! Interests include cycling, cinema, reading and travel. Non-smoker, driving licence. Most of my lessons these days are delivered online via Facetime or Skype, which seems to suit most people, with a few in person appointments locally.
Availability: By negotiation. I`m mostly booked but often able to fit new tutees around existing appointments.

Experience: I have been teaching Maths at secondary level for 25 years, 10 of those as a Head of Maths, and 10 as a private tutor. I have taught everything from KS2 support and extension up to A2 Further Maths. I have particular expertise in Mechanics and statistics up to Further Maths level, and have worked with students following the EdExcel, AQA or OCR syllabus. I have taught students at A-level who have achieved full marks across all 6 modules, and have significant experience in developing teaching and learning strategies in schools.

Richard is a very enthusiastic tutor who really enjoys his subject. My son has gained confidence in his maths work since lessons started. Richard always provides detailed explanations which are followed up by notes and visual reminders. He is always positive about anything you ask him to teach in Maths.

Richard has not been providing tutition for long but so far we are impressed with his service and knowledge. I feel unable to rate him any higher than a 4 star rating at this point, due to not having used his services for very long at present. Richard is always punctual, he has provided us with access to online past papers and is never in a rush to leave exactly after the hour slot has expired. We are happy that we selected Richard and feel very lucky to have his assistance.
