I am currently course team leader for A Level English language at a Further Education College in Bristol, where I have been teaching with some success gaining 55% A/B grades last year.I have over 10 years teaching experience with seven years teaching TEFL to both business students and university students in the UK and abroad. This included teaching groups and individuals on intensive courses in both general and business English. I also have extensive experience of teaching University students in Germany, Korea and Japan. My experience includes initial assessment and creation of tailor-made courses according to the needs of the students.
I also teach on the GCSE English programme and the Access to Higher Education English programme and have been a pastoral tutor on both A level and Access to higher education programmes. I am also a examiner for the AQA AS English Language A level.
I can teach A level English Language and Literature, GCSE English Language and Literature, TEFL, ESOL and English for Academic Purposes. For TEFL and ESOL students I offer initial assessment in order to establish a students level of English leading to the production of a course comensurate to their needs.
I like to think that I am a fun and enthusiastic teacher who likes to make teaching fun and accessible to provide students with every opportunity for success.
