I am a friendly,approachable and adaptable person with many years experience both a teacher and an examiner. Each student is different, and my role as a tutor is recognise this, to tailor my approach to their individual needs and to build up their confidence in their own ability. One to one sessions make it possible to identify specific problems which not be obvious in a classroom situation,such as difficulty with certain topics, or in exam technique,and we can work together to to tackle them.
I prefer to teach in the students` home as this is a more comfortable and convenient environment for them

Experience: I have over twenty years experience teaching Biology,A level and BTEC in Further Education.I am now semi-retired and for the past ten years have taught A Level Biology in a Sixth form College. At present I am teaching WJEC but have recent experience in teaching AQA and OCR.In the past I have examined for AQA and WJEC years years, I am also Senior examiner in A level Biolog for EDEXCEL . I have tutored privately for many years with excellent grates and as a result most of my students have been recommended to me by word of mouth. This summer 4 of my A level students gained A grades and the other went up from a `D` to a `B`.
