Friendly and approachable English and Maths teacher. I specialise in teaching adults with low ability and low self confidence. I am also willing to provide tuition for children and teens, particularly those with low ability who need to improve their confidence.

Normal session length: 2 hours

First meeting will be used to discuss requirements, aims, objectives and arrange a schedule of lessons.

Taught functional skills English to army applicants (aged 15-19)

Last OFSTED grade: Good (2) with elements of Outstanding (1)

Taught Maths since 2010 and ICT since 2015.

Provided tuition for students working towards AQA, EDEXCEL, CAMBRIDGE (iGCSE) and WJEC/EDUQAS exam boards.

Iurrently work as a Functional Skills Specialist, advising and coaching assessors on how to improve their teaching strategies for Maths, English and ICT.

Have successfully prepared people for Maths competency tests for teaching (QTS), EYPS (Level 2/3 GCSE equivalency) and nursing course applications (Uni of Cumbria, UCLAN).
