I have a B.A. in Physics from Oxford University and an MSc in Geophysical Hazards from UCL. I have 5 years experience teaching and tutoring in London and Oxford before moving to Yorkshire to pursue a career in probabilistic modelling of natural hazards.

I have continued to tutor in my evenings, and work with children and adults of all ages, from helping children take their first steps in primary Maths, to helping adults get necessary qualifications to further their careers.

My love of teaching does not stop at Maths and Physics I am a qualified snowboard instructor and have taught English as a foreign language at a primary school in Spain.

I can travel to students` homes, we can arrange a mutually convenient location (such as a library), or I can hold lessons over Skype, which have been very successful in the past. I hold an up-to-date CRB disclosure. I can travel to Skipton and the surrounding towns and villages.

Availability: I am available weekday evenings.

Experience: I have been teaching Maths and Physics in London and Oxford for the past 5 years, both privately and in independent schools and colleges.

I have experience teaching Maths and Physics with all the major GCSE and A-Level exam boards, and have prepared many children for the 11+ and 13+ entrance exams.

I have planned and taught an intensive Further Maths course in an A-Level college, including modules such as S1, M1, M2, FP1 and D1. I have also taught AS and A2 Level Physics in a South London secondary school in the lead-up to the summer exams, specifically concentrating on exam technique and preparation.

I have experience of working with children and adults with dyslexia and other learning difficulties.

I have plenty of text books, exam-style questions, past exam papers for school entrance exams, ideas/resources for Maths games and enthusiasm to keep children engaged in lessons.
