I am a very well-qualified, experienced, friendly and successful teacher of English as a Foreign Language, and I teach individuals or small groups of students in my home. I have always loved learning languages and am very much a 'people person', which is why I decided to become an English teacher after leaving university.
I am very interested in current affairs and have a wide variety of interests. I have published two books for students of English as a foreign language and written many teaching materials for students to use on a self-access basis, including on-line materials. I have also examined for the two largest international English language testing organisations in the UK, and still work as an oral examiner for one of them.
Availability: I am available on weekdays and Saturdays.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: My teaching experience has mostly been of adults and young adults (16 - 55) in small groups or one to one classes. For many years I taught English as a Foreign Language at Bell International London, and before that for the British Council in Italy and Malaysia. I have also taught on pre-sessional and in-sessional courses at Queen Mary, University of London. My students have been at all levels and from a wide variety of cultures.Contact this Tutor
