I graduated in 2002 from the University of Edinburgh with a 2:1 MA(Hons) in Classics, and spent the next few years pursuing a successful career in hospitality and indulging my passion for travel. I spent a year backpacking around Australia, and in 2008 moved to Bulgaria to volunteer on a team building a straw bale house. When not travelling, I worked in various bars and restaurants, including a stint as the general manager of a busy student bar in Edinburgh.
However, my great love has always been Classics, and I finally decided to follow my dream and become a Classics teacher. I have just completed my PGCE with King`s College London, and in September will be starting my first teaching job at a school in East London.
