I provide private tuition in Phonics, English, Maths, Italian and English as a Second Language. I can provide this on-line as well as in person.

I am a trained Applied Scholastic tutor, specialising in Maths and English at primary school level.
I apply the fundamental of my training, Study Technology, to boost child`s confidence and attainment
in literacy and numeracy. Study Technology is a workable methodology that makes it possible for a
student to recognize and handle the obstacles to successful study.

Educating others is my passion and I have been a self-employed tutor since 2008. I have a strong
commitment to enhancing and supporting the education of a child. I am passionate about helping
students improve their reading, writing and arithmetic skills so as to have a strong foundation for their
future learning.

My approach is that every student has the ability to succeed in their studies, with the right study tools.
I am here to assist students achieve their best.

I offer an initial free assessment to establish the student`s current skill level. The resulting study programme to address any gaps / boost competency is discussed with the parent and student. Agreement on study goals is established. Improving the student`s study skills, is a key aspect of every tutoring programme.

Lessons are one-to-one or in very small groups, either face to face or online, via Zoom.

Tutoring lessons are engaging and fun. Pupils are regularly praised for their achievements.

In addition, I offer Study Skills classes to parents who would like to better support their kids` learning at home.

Experience: My experience in tutoring, started with teaching Italian to adults (my first language) in 2008. In 2009 I
trained as a Phonics and Study Technology specialist at Applied Scholastics. Since then, I have been tutoring Primary School children from Year 1 to Year 6 in Phonics, English and Maths. After more training at Applied Scholastics in 2012, I started teaching English as a Second Language. I have also worked as a college tutor at Solihull College, teaching Italian.
