Dear students,

Thanks for taking the time to view my profile, and I’m really pleased you’re considering studying French with me.

I have been tutoring French part-time since graduating in 2013, and thoroughly enjoy helping my students to progress and gain in confidence.

I studied French at UCL, and have spent 2 academic years in France first as a Language Assistant in La Rochelle and then as a Content Editor in Nice.

Despite being an English native I have learnt French to fluency, meaning I have an excellent understanding of how to help students learning a language different to their own.

My teaching experience ranges from teaching individuals to large classes, beginners to more advanced students, children to adults. I have carried out assistantships in both primary and secondary schools and taught individuals of different ages.

Currently based in Putney, I am happy to travel in local area to teach at your home. Alternatively, I welcome students to meet in a cafe or in my home. All ages and levels welcome!

I have had very enjoyable and informative lessons with Emma. She tailors the sessions to my interests, provides additional learning materials and an email summary of the topics covered in each session.

Emma is a lovely hard-working person. She always prepares for lessons in advance and is encouraging my daughter to learn. She bonds very well with pupils and makes the time a pleasure as well as education.

Emma was a fantastic tutor. She was flexible in when she could meet for lessons. The lessons were planned and structured to make sure we effectively used the time to work on what I wanted to improve most. She really helped me improve my French and my confidence.
