Information about Holly

I am an enthusiastic and passionate teacher, who takes pride in encouraging a love for learning. I believe that a student should be given every opportunity in life to reach their full academic potential but also the opportunity to experience success. This will promote a love for learning.

I am a fully qualified English Secondary School Teacher, mainly tutoring students at GCSE level. However, my students range from year 4 to year 11 and am experience to teach at all levels.

As well as this, I am also a fully qualified SEN teacher, currently holding the post of Deputy SENCO. I have a diploma in assessing, planning for and teaching students with specific learning difficulties, specifically dyslexia. During these sessions, I teach students strategies that will enable them to access the learning in all of their subjects.

Availability: Saturday mornings.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have been a fully qualified Teacher for five years. Two years prior to my teacher training I was a Teaching Assistant; this was an invaluable experience, introducing me to the field of SEN. After the first two years of teaching as an English Teacher, I was promoted to head of KS3 English. In this role, I planned and created the KS3 curriculum. Whilst teaching full time, I was then given the opportunity to study for the diploma in teaching students with specific learning difficulties. Although a challenging a year, it was one I absolutely loved and secured my position as SEN Teacher. I have recently been promoted to Deputy SENCO.
