Information about Sarah
I run a special needs department at a large secondary academy. My role involves overseeing and scrutinising the provision of education for children with SEND to ensure they fulfil their potential.
I currently teach KS3 to KS5 children. My classes range from top set higher attainers to nurture SEN groups. I`m also subject lead for KS5 Politics. Furthermore, I am an examiner for Eduqas and AQA exam boards. All classes I have taught have demonstrated positive progress and all of my Tutor Hunt clients have secured passes in English and Politics.
As a former journalist of some 10 years` experience, I am passionate about developing proficient literacy and critical thinking amongst my students. I attempt to instil an appreciation of excellence and diligence within all those whom I teach, and an understanding that learning is a constant and progressive process. Most importantly of all, I aim to support my students in feeling confident and successful in their English and Politics studies.
Weekdays from 5pm.
Saturdays between 11.30am and 4pm.

Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher of Secondary English (PGCE with QTS: Teach First). I began writing for print and online platforms at the age of 15, and secured my professional qualifications in journalism before attaining a BA in Political Science from the prestigious College of Social Science at the University of Birmingham and a Masters in Educational Leadership (Teach First) at Warwick University.Contact this Tutor
