Information about Jennifer

I am passionate about fostering a positive, engaging learning environment, designed to raise standards and create confident, keen learners. As well as continuing to be up to date with the latest curriculum developments, I differentiate and develop resources specially designed to improve and promote personalised learning.

I can focus upon particular areas of difficulty within a subject or support your child with the national curriculum.

Availability: Monday-Thursday: Available during the evening.
Friday/weekends: Unavailable.
I am also available during some school holidays.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher, with an Art degree. I have eight years of teaching experience, ranging from Early Years up to Ks2. Through supply/permanent positions, I have banked an extensive amount of resources and teaching techniques.
Throughout my career, I have successfully managed whole classes and booster/invention groups in addition to supporting children on a one to one basis-providing tailored target learning, specific to individual needs. Children have achieved and some have moved on to excelling in their attainment and progression targets, from the phonics screening in Ks1, SATS in Ks2, through to accomplishing smaller objectives, for an example difficulty within a certain area of learning, particularly the new grammar objectives.
I take into account the differing backgrounds and experiences each child has and work alongside them to develop and focus on achieving their full potential. I am a firm believer in inclusion and I am able to cater for children of differing abilities, including those with SEND, EAL and behavioural challenges, providing scope to use their interests in a context where learning can take place and creating an exciting, challenging and motivating environment.
