Maria

Maria has obtained her PhD at the University of Barcelona (2020) researching the topic of “Viability of Derivatives in Radical Islam: A Comparative Assessment of the Technical and Shariah-Compliant Characteristics of the Main Islamic Financial Instruments - Contracts & Defaults in the Prospect of Revivalism”. She has previously obtained her LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (2013) and her LLB at the University of Surrey (2012).

Availability: Maria is available to teach online via Zoom or Skype.

Experience: Maria has held the position of a Course Director: Capital Markets, Banking Regulation and Company Law at Academy of European Law (Trier & Brussels) between 2016-2018. Prior to that she had fronted Spectrum from their offices in London and Barcelona and she taught Contract Law at the University of Surrey (2015) and provided research support to the Financial Markets Group at the London School of Economics (2013).
