Hi, thanks for checking out my profile!

A little about me and my education. I`ve just finished an MPhil in Philosophy at the University of St Andrews, where I received the Dean`s List Award for outstanding academic achievement. Before that, I studied Philosophy, Politics, & Economics at the University of Oxford. I`m currently applying to philosophy PhD programmes, and I hope to write my PhD thesis on either animal ethics or the ethics of war.

I enjoy tutoring because I love learning and I love helping other people learn! I like getting to know students and finding creative ways to explain things which they`ve been finding tricky. Ultimately, the main reason I tutor for work is because it`s extremely rewarding to help students achieve their aspirations, and thereby have a positive impact on their lives!

When I`m not tutoring or doing philosophy, I enjoy (trying to) make people laugh as a stand-up comedian. I also try – again, largely in vain – to keep myself fit.

Experience: I`ve got lots of experience tutoring A Level Economics – this is what my undergraduate degree was in, and I was shortlisted for Young Economist of the Year. I`m equally comfortable tutoring A Level Mathematics and Chemistry – I got A*s in both at A Level. I`ve taught undergraduate philosophy, so if there happens to be anyone needing philosophy tutoring I can definitely help! I`ve also tutored students with learning difficulties – including severe dyslexia, dyscalculia, audio processing disorder, and working memory loss – in GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
