I went to school at King Edward`s School, Edgbaston, where I gained 9 A*s and 1 A at GCSE (English Language, English Literature, French, German, A in History, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, Design and Technology).
I also gained 40/45 points in my International Baccalaureate (an alternative to A Levels, seen as being harder and more comprehensive). My Higher level subjects were Biology, Chemistry and Maths, in which I got 7,7,6 respectively, and my Standard level subjects were English, French and Business & Management, in which I got 6,6,7 respectively (all subjects are graded out of 7).
I`m currently a 3rd Year Biochemistry student at Imperial College London, where I gained a First in my second year examinations.
I have a great passion for the biological sciences, but was an all rounder at school, being adept at most subjects. I am also very interested in literature, and am currently reading Don Quixote and some of Kafka`s short stories. I`d really like to be able to help pass on this drive and desire for learning to the younger generation. Finally, I love football, although I`m definitely not qualified or talented enough to coach it.
Availability: Weekends and possibly evenings.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I tutored my two younger sisters for their 11+ exams, with both of them being accepted by their preferred school (King Edward`s High School).
During my gap year I worked at a primary school for 9 months, an experience that taught me a huge amount about both the huge responsibility and the requisite patience and understanding with regards to working with children.
