Jose

I`m José and I`m currently studying at the Royal College of Music, doing a Master of Performance in Viola with Nathan. I was given the ‘The Houston Family Scholar supported by a Lucy Ann Jones Scholarship’ for this studies. I was awarded distinction for my Bachelor of Music degree at the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (Portugal) where I`ve studied with Pedro Saglimbeni-Muñoz. I also won twice (2016 and 2018) the second prize at the “Vasco Barbosa” national competition in Lisbon, I`m a former holder of the Calouste-Gulbenkian Foundation scholarship, a regular replacement of the Portuguese Symphonic Orchestra since 2013, and I`ve recently won the Academist Position for the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra’s 2019/2020 season.
