Clara

Hi! I`m Clara, currently living and studying in London -Hispanic, Portuguese and Brazilian Studies in KCL-, but born in Barcelona (Spain), so I`m a native Catalan and Spanish speaker.

I spent the last year between Lisbon (Portugal) and Salvador de Bahia (Brazil) for my year abroad, both studying at university and working as a Spanish Language teacher.

I like to adapt the contents and the format of the classes to the needs of the students,to their goals, their academic ambitions, or to the different exams they have to prepare for. I try to make the lessons fun and I encourage the Student to learn more about the culture, since it is the best way to get into the Language. If the weather is nice with us, I always try to work outdoors, or even in a café where we can have a tea while we learn the Spanish J and Z.

I`m really flexible and adaptable, so do not hesitate to contact me whatever your goals are.

Experience: I worked as a Spanish Teaching Assistant in the role of Student Ambassador in Cardinal Vaughan School, London (January-April 2015). My role was to prepare students for their GCSE exams, practicing conversation and pronunciation.

During my year abroad in Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, I worked as a Spanish Language teacher in Volunteers Brazil School (March-June 2016). Most of the students were mature learners.

Finally, as a part of the alphabethisation programme of the Spanish Charity "Servei Solidari" (June 2016), I taught Spanish to young Moroccan immigrants under 18 living in accommodation centres.

Experience in tutoring children and high school students in Barcelona (Spain).
