Overall engaging and very knowledgeable, obviously as a result of great and long standing experience. Helpful in all aspects of the subject in terms of content and exam technique which I think is especially important. Overall I found Chris to be not only am effective teacher but also a nice guy, it makes tutor sessions focused and productive without being monotonous and draining.

Chris is a really great tutor, so says my son who is quite fussy when it comes to who teaches him for Geography, he knows what works and what doesn`t and Chris gets a big thumbs up and 5 Stars which speaks for itself! He really helped my son prepare for his GCSEs and is continuing to help and support him with the remainder papers which are due after half term. I cannot recommend him highly enough :)

My daughter was initially a resistant tutee but quickly warmed to Chris and the remote format. Chris made her feel comfortable and supported. Chris` expertise and examiner background proved invaluable and he was particularly helpful with the extended essay element where she felt especially initially adrift. Going into Y13 she was a B student. We saw him take her through the levels over the course of the year: by Jan she was getting As much of the time, by Spring A* - coming out with a fantastic A* overall. Thanks Chris!

Chris taught Geography A level to my son for four months during lockdown (January to May). Chris helped move my sons performance grades from a C-/D to A. His knowledge of his subject was exceptional and he taught my son very well, but also how to pass exams with a level of knowledge transfer and confidence that was missing before Chris became involved. This was all done virtually and means our son is going to attend a Russell Group University. Very happy parent and student.

Chris has worked with my daughter Daisy in preparation for her GCSE Geography. Like all children in 2020/21, GCSEs have created a level of uncertainty and worry and we felt it necessary to reach out and find a tutor who could help build Daisy`s confidence and revision technique for whatever assessment method she faced. In short, Chris has been a total super star! We have seen Daisy`s grades improve dramatically from being a mid-range student to achieving top quartile results (in school tests as part of the GCSE evidence portfolio) but more importantly, our daughter has develop a level of geography confidence and capability that we could have not achieved without Chris. His style is practical, straight forward, engaging and with bags of common sense. Daisy looked forward and enjoyed every session with him. If you are looking for a great geography tutor, I would highly recommend Chris.

Chris is a fantastic tutor and one that I would highly recommend. My daughter says; Chris did not bring his own agenda but he was open to start where my daughter wanted to start on the topcs she needed most help. She also said Chris is very easy to communicate with as he listens to the needs, he sets out clear objectives of the sessions and has a teaching style that is clear, concise and understandable in subject areas that required targeted support. We are very satisfied!! Highly recommended!

During this pandemic Chris has been an incredible tutor keeping my son focussed on his home studies. His insider knowledge as a examiner has been invaluable and this has resulted in my son achieving consistent high scoring tests despite the lack of a structured schooling. He achieved an A* in his mock and we are keeping our fingers crossed that this continues and he ultimately achieves this as his final grade.

I was looking for a tutor who would help improve the quality of my son`s written submissions - both homework and exam-style questions, rather than simply teaching him Geography. Chris has been very good at being flexible, in order to mirror the topics being covered at my son`s school. He is also working well to help my son develop his skills in tackling assignments, rather than simply telling him what to do. In this way my son is getting the confidence he needs to critically assess and tackle the work, rather than simply being shown what to do.

Chris has been working with my Year 11 daughter for a few weeks so far helping her catch up on some missed Year 10 work in readiness for her GCSE Geography exams this year. He has been fantastic so far. He even squeezed in an extra session over the half term to help her cover the missed term. The sessions have been well prepared and she has enjoyed them. The ability to focus on areas that are needed at a pace that suits her has made it an excellent investment.

We contacted Chris to help our son with his IGCSE Geography. We have been home schooling him since Sept 2019 and wanted some help with exam techniques and general revision of the syllabus. Chris was quick to respond to us and did everything he could to accommodate our needs. Initially we were unsure about how our son would cope with Zoom lessons due to his anxiety and low confidence, however he has taken to them extremely well. His lessons are really well planned with a mixture of slides and exam questions to help our son prepare for his exam. I would definitely recommend Chris, just wish we had contacted him sooner.
