I have been teaching Psychology for 10 years at secondary school level and have been head of department for 5 years (other experience also includes being head of business and teaching sociology). I have private tutored for the last 6 years and find it to be one of the most rewarding experiences.

I studied Psychology at University and then trained to be a teacher in Psychology and Business. I achieved an `outstanding` in my teacher training.

My students results have been consistently outstanding over the last 8 years, with my students results year on year being either in the top 20% nationally, or over the previous couple years, top 10% nationally. Having analysed my students results they perform better than the national average on ALL key skills.

I am very quick at picking up on students strengths and weakness areas. This allows me to very carefully fine tune the support that they require. With modelling and guiding I teach students how to improve on all weakness areas. Having had extensive training on the exams, I am also able to very confidently teach students the little tricks and tips they need to get the best results - this is partly the reason my students are always achieving some of the highest results. All of my students so far, have either met or exceeded their target grades.

As a teacher I`m very patient, and I`m prepared to spend as long as it takes to ensure they reach the goal that they need to reach. My friendly and calm persona allows students of all abilities to feel completely comfortable expressing their concerns and worries with the subject, which in turn allows me to find ways to best support them

Experience: 10 years as a Psychology teacher and 5 years as head of Psychology. Head of careers at my current school. Previously have also been head of Business as well as a sociology teacher.

Have been on multiple exams training courses so am confident with being able to fine tune any students ability in the subject.
