I am a freelance tutor with 10 years of experience. I am also a fully qualified doctor and earned my medical and intercalated degrees from the University of Cambridge. I achieved A*A*A*A at A-Level in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics with UMS of high 90s. I achieved 11A* & 4A at GCSE. A full breakdown is available on request.

I tutor Maths & Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics) at GCSE and A-Level, although I also have experience with KS3. I have been tutoring since 2012 on a part time basis, both in-person and online using a variety of platforms. I have had a recent enhanced DBS check.

My teaching style is focussed on helping students achieve a good, in-depth understanding of the material (so there is less to memorise). We then follow this up with many practice questions. I believe in transparency and honest, constructive feedback.

In addition, I have significant experience in degree-level medical education and preparing students for university applications, including for Oxbridge. This includes 1-1 mentoring, personal statements and interview preparation. Many of my tutees have been successful.

I am available for online tuition most days for the next few months. I am taking some time to tutor before entering specialty training.

Lessons are one-to-one and last 1h but can also be booked in 2h slots. I offer a free 15min consultation so we can discuss your tutoring goals. I am planning to limit the number of students I take on so I can give each person the time they require.

Outside of work my pass times include playing the guitar, coding, sports, travelling and research. I have published multiple articles in various medical journals.
