I graduated from the University of St. Andrews with a masters in mathematics, achieving a 2:1, in 2019. I took up tutoring in mid 2020, and have been enjoying that ever since.

I have loved maths ever since I was a child. I loved the logic-based way of thinking, so much so that maths always felt more like a puzzle game than a chore. I was lucky to have good teachers at high school and sixth form, who helped my love of mathematics to grow, to the point where I was tutoring my fellow students and organising maths events by the time I reached sixth form. I’ve always sought to share my love of mathematics with others, and tutoring is the best way to do that.

My approach to tutoring differs greatly from student to student. Everyone is different, and I prefer to gauge how a student learns and thinks before giving tuition that fits them. This approach has allowed me to teach people who struggle to learn mathematics like most people, and to explain concepts with words they understand. It is never worthwhile forcing someone to learn a certain way if they can’t follow it.

While I am new to the scene, I am already teaching 3 students and am looking to obtain more. I don’t charge overtime, as I never want my students to feel rushed. Effectively, I charge for the first hour only and anything after that is considered free. I want to make sure that you are getting a good deal, whilst taking into account my relative inexperience.

Experience: I have experience teaching adults, university students and high-school students. Each requires a different approach but I`ve always been able to adapt my lessons to fit the age group that I am teaching.
