I am a qualified secondary school English teacher, and am currently studying for a Masters degree.
I have taught a range of abilities within Year 7 to Year 11, and have two years` experience with the new GCSE specifications (both Literature and Language): this includes teaching students aiming for the highest grades (7/8/9) and also students on the C/D (3/4) borderline.


Prior to commencement of tutoring, I offer a free-of-charge 30 minute visit: during this time, I will discuss with the student their strengths and areas for improvement, and the specific course and texts they are studying, which then allows me to tailor a personalised tutoring programme.

Following each tutoring session, I will provide feedback to parents/carers, to inform them of topics covered and progress made during the session, and areas the student should work on prior to our next session.

I am available all weekday evenings and throughout the day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

I am happy to provide `paired sessions` for two students, as long as both students are studying the same course and are of a similar ability.

I will travel within a 5 mile radius of Keynsham. However, if you live outside this area, please contact me and I will consider travelling further for a slight increase in price.
