Information about Patricia
I was training initially in Psychology at degree level, at the University of London and I am also a qualified teacher of Psychology. I really enjoy research, and I am methodical and organised in my teaching and learning approach. I am able to use my transferable skill set across humanity subjects, to delivery support to students of Psychology, History, Philosophy and Sociology. I also enjoy encourage students to develop an enquiring and disciplined nature themselves, so they can take these qualities with them through life or on to university, to continue to enjoy and appreciate learning.
It is my belief that all students have the potential to make a positive difference in the world, beginning with education and I feel very passionate in my role as a facilitator of learning, to guide students to believe in their capabilities and work towards success. Current research confirms, student-focused engagement in the learning process is the most successful teaching and learning strategy and I like to engage students into the learning process with activities, discussion and debate, utilising both developmental and mastery tasks in addition to continuous support so that students can perceive their ongoing achievements and visualise reaching their goals.
I am committed to providing the essential support required to achieve effective study techniques and subject matter knowledge to match exam board specification, and skills to meet examination expectations.
Broadening student knowledge and awareness raises student self-esteem and confidence, encourages personal responsibility towards further training expectations, and university lifestyle. Trisha has been fantastic with my daughter who was low on self-esteem approaching her A`level Psychology. Trisha helped her with revision skills and essay prep and generally on self-belief. My daughter felt she genuinely cared. So pleased we found her.
Tutors Response :
Thank you Suzanne.
