Experience: A career in teaching secondary English deeply appeals to my personality and values. With seven years experience as a private tutor and teacher of English for a wide range of abilities and needs across Key Stages in one of top non-selective boys schools in the UK rated outstanding by Ofsted, I have a deep understanding of the subject and a wealth of experience in inspiring and engaging students.
In addition to grade outstanding classroom teaching, I am also highly experienced in small, group tailored learning support, and one-to-one private tuition support for KS3 and 4 (diverse needs and ability range). This includes offering additional reading, literacy, EAL support, 11+ tutoring and GCSE Literature, Language and iGCSE exam preparation support to students.
I also specialise in creative writing including fiction, non-fiction and poetry, facilitating students in reaching award-winning standards and becoming published young writers (a total of five students in the last academic year as part of the Young Writer`s awards).
