I believe the best way to learn is through lessons focused on what the student actually WANTS to learn. From this starting point I guide the lessons through the theory, technical aspects, and practise routines which will help the student achieve the goals they want quickly and enjoyably.

My private tuition covers all aspects aspiring players need for getting started and excelling on the bass guitar.

Beginners lessons - Positioning, left and right hand technique, rhythm exercises, and playing basic bass lines.

Intermediate lessons - Groove based exercises, learning more advanced bass lines, basic theory (chords and scales), finger / pick technique, and ear training.

Advanced lessons - Learning complex bass lines, advanced theory, slap bass, tapping, improvisation techniques, variations in different musical styles, and methods for building effective and interesting bass lines.

Availability: I`m potentially available most days, although weekends are usually busy wit gigs. Preferably I like to keep lessons between Mon -Fri, 9am - 6pm, however this isn`t always possible for the students. Best is to get in touch and we can arrange a time.

Experience: I have been teaching Bass privately for around 10 years, and I have been playing the instrument for 20. As well as teaching I`m a working musician so touring, recording, sessions, festivals, functions and writing sessions are my other occupations.
