Information about Matt

Hi! I am a experienced violin, viola, piano and music theory teacher available to teach all ages and abilities. I am currently studying for a Masters at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. I am experienced teacher and have taught pupils of all ages and levels.

Availability: I am free most evenings in the week and can also teach on weekend. I offer each student a free consultation lesson to get to know me. I charge £35 an hour and £25 for half and hour.

After School

Willing to travel: 8 miles

Experience: I began learning violin and piano aged 6 through my local music service. I attended Junior Conservatoire at RBC where I began studying viola with Dr Louise Lansdown. I continued my studies at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire as an undergraduate with Louise who is the Head of Strings there. Last year I spend 5 months studying at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music with Professor Sheng Li and I am currently studying for my Masters in London at the Guildhall School.

I have been teaching privately for several years and have been involved in several education and outreach projects during the last few years. These include In Harmony Lambeth, the ARCO project at Birmingham Conservatoire and Pro Corda chamber courses. Teaching is something I’m very passionate about and I love seeing pupils improve.
